Craig Peters, MD
Concierge Physician
True wellness encompasses a wholeness of mind and body. It takes time to know each patient both mentally and physically and treat them as the individuals they are. It’s not the easy button, but is the key to helping my patients enjoy an outstanding quality of life as they age.
Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Dr. Peters first came to Atlanta as an undergraduate at Emory University, establishing personal and professional roots in the city he’s proud to call home. He graduated summa cum laude from Emory University with a double major in chemistry and psychology, and went on to earn his medical degree at Emory University Medical School, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha national honor society. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Emory University and stayed an extra year to serve as Chief Medical Resident.
Dr. Peters has practiced at the Piedmont health system for more than two decades, earning Top Doctor accolades from Castle Connolly multiple times over the years. Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Peters takes a special interest in preventive care. He believes that eating healthy, exercising and strengthening the mind can help patients extend their lives and overcome illness. He constantly updates his knowledge of traditional medicine while also recommending alternative options such as meditation. Dr. Peters considers the concierge medicine model ideal for collaborating with patients in a highly personalized way, helping them make informed decisions, and serving as their advocate in the healthcare system.
In his free time, Dr. Peters pursues his love of nature with mountain biking and hiking, and enjoys playing soccer. He also regularly practices meditation and Pilates core exercise.
