Frances Long, MD

Dr. Fran Long, born and raised in Unadilla, Georgia, earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon and completed her residency in internal medicine at Atlanta Medical Center. After training, Dr. Long remained in Atlanta and has been an active outpatient primary care physician within the Piedmont Healthcare system since 2006. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Long’s interests include individualized cardiovascular risk management, aging with strategy from brain to musculoskeletal health, and perimenopause/menopausal transition support ranging from hormone therapy and anti-frailty plans, to sleep, weight and stress management. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Menopause Society. Dr. Long has received Atlanta Magazine’s peer-selected ‘Top Doctors’ award for the past several years.

Dr. Long shares with patients a common goal of optimizing their overall quality of life and strives to provide the time they need to discuss all aspects of their health in a compassionate and collaborative environment. The concierge medicine model allows her the opportunity to truly get to know her patients, cultivate trusting relationships and deliver an elevated level of attentive care.

Dr. Long resides in Sandy Springs with her husband and two sons. Outside the office she enjoys traveling, boating, participating in her boys’ activities and enjoying Atlanta’s incredible restaurant scene.
